History

Our Cardinal Principles.

Friendship

Learning

Rectitude

Phi Delta Theta was organized with three principle objectives: The cultivation of friendship among its members, the acquirement individually of a high degree of mental culture, and the attainment personally of a high standard of morality.

What makes Phi Delta Theta at USC a great place to be?

Brotherhood

We are always planning activities which will enrich our experience at USC, form lasting memories with our Brothers, and allow us to explore the amazing experiences California has to offer. We vary our brotherhood events every semester, with recent examples including: Beach Days, Golf Outings, a National Parks Weekend, Weekender Trips (Stanford or Cal), Concerts, and Music Festivals.

Social

All work and no play is no fun! We host social events of our own (e.g., Registers, Invites) and partner with Sororities to host house-wide Exchanges. With USC’s access to Los Angeles, the metropolitan epicenter of the west coast, there is never a shortage of fun things to do, only minutes away.

Leadership

Without question, the members of California Delta are leaders, and not just in Greek life. We encourage our members to be involved in more than just Greek life, and, as such, the men of Phi Delta Theta California Delta have an inclination towards leadership positions across campus. Brothers help lead organizations such as the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Undergraduate Student Government (USG), Troy Camp, USC’s Athletic Department, as well as countless honor societies and other community-based student organizations. Where there is an opportunity to lead, look for Phi Delta Theta to be involved.

Diversity

The California Delta chapter of Phi Delta Theta currently has 135 members. The members are from large cities and small towns all over the world, and the chapter views this diversity of members’ backgrounds – whether it’s geographic, academic, socioeconomic or of any other type – as one of its many strengths.  While roughly one third of the members are originally from the state of California, the chapter is comprised of members from 15 different states, almost 30 cities and towns across California, and 3 foreign countries.
